WebWell, I have been having second thoughts after placing the order for the X1C combo because I have just learned about the Trident kit. The biggest attractions for me about the trident are as follows: the lack of flying gantry makes it way easier to build and maintain than a 2.4r2. it prints just as well as a 2.4r2 and an X1C. WebHe is right, but there is nothing inherently problematic about a 350 Trident. That being said, it‘s typically a good idea to stick with a smaller (250 or 300) size unless you have a need for the extra size. I happen to regularly need the 350 mm build plate, so I built a 350 2.4.
